You might wish to look at the fabric's quality before buying new loungewear. To guarantee that the clothing is of excellent quality and durability, this is an important step.
There are several factors to consider while choosing fabrics for clothing, shoes, and accessories. Certain are more important than others. Purchasing fewer, better-quality garments is the greatest approach to promoting sustainable fashion.
As consumers, we have the ability to influence the worldwide textile and garment market. A smaller social and environmental effect is produced when we opt to purchase and wear high-quality clothing.
Finding the perfect fabric is not only so they can be unique or look cool/ on trend. For us, the top priority is to have a fabric that feels nice on your body. Our favourite thing to do is to go to fabric store and touch absolutely every piece of fabric. Is it 100% cotton? Does is have stretch? Will this colour match other things we wear? How will it wash? Do we pre-wash it and then make it? So many questions, so much research…but it’s the best part! Because the final piece is very rewarding.
It's important to define quality and explain what makes a premium garment superior to a lower-quality one. The following criteria are important in defining quality:
Longevity - There are many reasons why people buy clothes. Some people buy clothes to look good and others buy clothes as investments. But, there is a problem with the latter group of people - they have to worry about the longevity of their garments. If you are buying a garment as an investment, it should last longer than just a few months. You shouldn't have to worry that your clothes will tear apart when put through regular wear and tear.
Resistance- All clothing should maintain its form. Clothing shouldn't deteriorate, shrink, or twist even after several washings.
Dye - Colours are one of the first things that people notice about clothing. They can either make or break an outfit. That’s why it’s important that colours not only look good when they’re first worn, but also after years of wear and washing cycles.
On the other hand, high-quality clothes are made with dyes that are designed to withstand years of wear and washing. These dyes produce deep, rich colours that stay vibrant and fresh even after many washes. So, when you buy quality clothes, you can be sure that the colours will still look great years down the road.
Drape- Quality clothing is made with fabrics that have a natural drape. These fabrics are used to design flattering clothing. The fabric is cut and sewn to flatter the body. The finishing touches are added to make the clothing look its best.
Comfort- It is important that the fabric used for loungewear is soft and comfortable. Nobody wants to wear something that is going to be scratchy or make them feel uncomfortable. The material should also be breathable so that you don’t get too hot when wearing it.
Style- In order to have quality clothing, you need to have a good sense of style. Style is more than just the clothes you wear; it's a way of expressing yourself. It's about knowing what looks good on you and what doesn't. It's also about having the confidence to rock whatever you're wearing.
Sustainability - When it comes to clothing, sustainability is important. This means that the clothing is made from sustainable materials that will not harm the environment. The clothing should also be durable so that it will last longer and not need to be replaced as often.
We want our clothes to look good, but we also want them to be well-made. We want to feel confident and stylish when we wear them, but we also want to know that our clothing will last.
It can be tricky to find clothing that meets all of these criteria, but it's worth taking the time to find pieces that you love and that will stand the test of time. Thats why Christina realised that she is very similar to Halston, who would use the actual fabric to create the sample. If the sample wasn’t “perfect” for the designs, she would repurpose it (no fabrics were lost in the process), #sustainability always. Am I right? If it was/is perfect, well there’s the sample for the shoot and a piece she could wear out.
With khaz designs you can have a loungewear of high-quality pieces that you'll always feel good in.
